Aon Group Names VP Of Corporate Communications

Aon Group, Inc. has appointed John Canfield as vice president of corporate communications. He will assist in the implementation of Aon Group's corporate communications plan, including marketing communications initiatives and the integration of Aon Group corporate communications worldwide.

"John has strong marketing communications experience and excellent operating knowledge of our business," said Michael D. O'Halleran, president and chief operating officer of Aon Group. "His addition to Aon Group corporate communications underscores our commitment to build name awareness and enhance the understanding of our broad capabilities among our important audiences around the world."

Canfield previously served as senior vice president of Aon Group's Aon Consulting Worldwide unit. He joined Aon in 1989 after serving as an officer in the U.S. Air Force, including an assignment as professor of English at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He holds a master's degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a graduate of the Young Executive's Institute in Professional Management Education at UNC-CH.
