AIG Environmental Reduces Premiums In UST Pollution Liability Insurance For Tanknology Customers

American International Group, Inc. (AIG) member companies are to provide premium reductions in underground storage tank (UST) pollution liability insurance for UST owners utilizing compliance management and/or monitoring services from Tanknology-NDE International, Inc.

Tanknology's compliance management services provide tank owners turnkey administration of all aspects of regulatory compliance with federal and state laws governing USTs. These services may include 24-hour regulatory and incident response, UST paperwork filings, and remote monitoring of release detection equipment.

AIG Environmental offers UST pollution liability insurance through Commerce & Industry Insurance Company (C&I) and other AIG member companies.

"UST owners who utilize Tanknology compliance management services have less risk of pollution liability," states Richard Calvert, assistant vice president, AIG Environmental. "It therefore makes sense for us to recognize our expected reduction in claim costs with premium savings.
