AIG Claim Services says it has introduced web-based applications to facilitate claim reporting and handling. The online applications enable customers to report a claim, view and analyze loss data, and print standard and ad-hoc reports from the AIGCS web site, www.aigcs.net. Loss run reports can also be generated at the customer's request from the site.

"The Internet presents an efficient and secure vehicle to provide our customers with the information they need to manage their losses," said Anthony J. Galioto, president, AIGCS.

AIGCS has introduced First Notice of Loss (FNL), a new, web-based function that enables AIGCS customers to file workers' compensation, property, and casualty claims online. FNL prompts users to fill out all relevant details associated with the claim, including employer, employee and insurance carrier information. The information is immediately processed, and FNL confirms successful transmission with identification of the AIGCS service center assigned to handle the claim. The online procedure is completed within minutes, and a formal notification letter is emailed to the client verifying receipt.

AIGCS' web-based claims analysis and inquiry system, IntelliRisk NetSource, has been enhanced to offer greater flexibility to meet what the company describes as "diverse claim information needs of a small, medium or large customer base, with up to 7,500 claims annually." Depending upon claim volume and complexity, customers may choose basic features such as summary and detail claim information, and the ability to "Quick Search" for a claim by elements such as social security number or dates of loss. Customers with more complex information technology needs may also select adjuster activity notes, one-click download to a Microsoft Excel or text file, standard report formats as well as additional data elements.

The company says it electronic loss run distribution service, IntelliRisk NetData is now available online, as well. This service uses "push" technology to provide an electronic alternative to hard-copy formats. IntelliRisk NetData allows customers to "find" or "go to" a specific claim or page and forward loss runs to other recipients. Additionally, the electronic distribution method provides users with faster access to their data. It is available in the Risk Detail and Cost Accounting formats on a monthly basis.

All of the above services are available to insureds whose workers' compensation or general liability policies are managed by AIGCS and underwritten by member companies of American International Group, Inc.
