AICPCU and IIA Introduce New Brochure Highlighting Risk Management Courses And Programs

N/Acompany%> (AICPCU/IIA) have published a new brochure describing their risk management education courses and programs, which range from introductory level to advanced.

The brochure describes the Center for Advanced Risk Management Education (CARME), AICPCU/IIA's new division. CARME, often in cooperation with other organizations, develops new courses, products, and educational services to extend and enhance the study of risk management.

CARME's core program, created in cooperation with the <%=company%> (RIMS), is the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation program. It consists of three courses and national examinations. Since its creation, more than 19,000 people have earned the prestigious ARM designation.

CARME's newest offering is Risk Management for Health Care Organizations, which debuts this spring. Developed in cooperation with the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, it can benefit risk management personnel, health-care staff who share risk management responsibilities, and risk management consultants and insurance professionals who support health-care organizations. People who complete the Risk Management for Health Care Organizations course and exam earn a Certificate of Completion.

AICPCU/IIA offers two other new risk management courses. One is Introduction to Risk Management, which was introduced in January. It is designed for people who need to have a basic understanding of what risk managers do. The other new risk management course is part of its Focus Series. Risk Management for Insurance Professionals is written from the Producer's point of view. It covers the risk manager's role, goals of risk management, elements of a loss exposure, and steps in the risk management process.
