Firefighters and Ambulance Services Insurance Program

The Hartford and PENCO Risk Management and Insurance Programs have introduced the Firefighters and Ambulance Services Insurance Program. The program is designed for members of volunteer and paid fire departments and volunteer ambulance, first-aid, and rescue squads not affiliated with a fire company.

The program will cover property, general liability, errors and omissions liability, automobile, excess, Workers Compensations, and the volunteer firefighters blanket accident and sickness coverage.

Highlights of the customized coverage include:

• coverage of buildings, personal property, and emergency equipment
• professional liability coverage for nurses, paramedics, and EMTs
• medical directors and administrators coverage
• an errors and omissions liability coverage endorsement to the general liability policy
• auto insurance for employees and volunteers while driving insured, or their own, vehicles
• accidental medical coverage
• disability income coaverage
• indemnity for loss of life, limb, sight, speech or hearing
• coverage for Workers Compensation and employers' liability
• limits up to $15 million available on excess coverage
• a risk management guide to assist each department in evaluating its exposures and correction problems
