We can sample the existing fish population to determine what species are present, if they are over or under abundant, what sizes are present within each population, and if disease or parasites are present. We can evaluate the physical characteristics of the lake to determine if it is a good fish habitat. Various plants may need to be added for a forage and fish nursery habitat Natural and artificial structures can be added to diversify the existing lake bottom.

We can further analyze physical properties of the lake such as water clarity. pH. dissolved oxygen content. and benthos profile.
