Lawyers save time with GEInsuresLawyers.com

The new site was designed using GE's Six Sigma tools, including Voice of the Customer, which gathered input from lawyers from around the country. The primary request from the attorneys polled was to "save time on administrative tasks such as purchasing insurance." GEInsuresLawyers.com meets that demand with an insurance purchasing process that can take as little as five minutes, instead of five days, and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
"Instead of several days to complete the entire insurance purchasing process, many of the law firms currently insured with us can complete the renewal application in five minutes, receive a quote online and request coverage to be finalized," said Jean Younger, J.D. and Program Director of Westport's professional liability insurance program for lawyers.
"Complicated renewals require more review, but the concept is the same: quicker, easier renewals. Our site also gives lawyers another way to select insurance - now they can contact our exclusive administrator in person, via phone, via mail or online. The important factor is that lawyers are deciding how to reach us and using the method they prefer -- which helps to ensure total client satisfaction," said Younger.
The site provides three unique areas. The first one is available to all lawyers, with helpful tips and services, including a premium estimate form, new application forms and a limits quiz to help them identify the limits of liability that may be right for their firm. The second area is a secured area accessible only to lawyers insured with Westport via a personal identification code. This is the area where renewals may be processed, claims may be reported and toll free, claim-prevention hotline numbers are accessible. The third area is exclusive to Westport's Program Administrators. It includes marketing information, a brochure builder and other tools to complement and streamline their contact with law firms.
The new site replaces Westport's previous site, www.WestportLawyer.com.
