ACORD Announces 2001 Implementation Champions Awards Program

<%=company1%> is pleased to announce the 2001 ACORD XML Implementation Champions Awards program. This year's program will recognize those companies who are quick to adopt the latest XML specification developments that took place during the previous year, explained Tana Sabatino, assistant vice president for standards.

These awards will be given out at the ACORD Technology Conference, May 20-22 in Disney World, Orlando, Florida. "Being recognized as a market leader in adopting standards is critical for competing in today's marketplace. This awards program gives you the opportunity to gain that recognition directly from ACORD," said ACORD President and CEO Gregory A. Maciag.

To be awarded this recognition, companies must submit their transactions and be certified by ACORD as being compliant, by April 15th. The certification program will utilize the same general criteria across all lines of business ensuring each group's efforts are appropriately recognized. The following groups will be eligible:

  • ACORD XML for P&C or Surety must be compliant with ANY transaction in the ACORD XML for P&C/Surety Candidate Recommendation v. 2.
  • Proof of Concept (efforts must be compliant with supplements to the ACORD XML for P&C/Surety Candidate Recommendation v.2.)
    • Large Commercial for Schedules and Exposures.
    • Specialty Lines for Errors and Omissions.
    • Claims for Simple Claims Reporting.

  • ACORD XML for Life Insurance must be compliant utilizing any new transactions approved in 2000.
